- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆My wife and I have used Liberty Tax Service for the past several years and I have to admit typically I would give at least four stars to them if not five, but the service this year has been very poor. We first went to do our taxes after looking online to see that Liberty would be open until 9PM. When we arrived the sign outside showed that the Liberty would only be open until 7PM, which of course was the time we showed up. We called to confirm what time the business closed and got the answer machine which gave the time of closing as 8PM. My wife and I went to enter the office and were told that the business was closed for the day to come back another time. We'd tried to make an appointment several times but could not get anyone to return our calls. A week ago we decided to drive over that it was early and the office was still open. It was and we went in. We filled out the need questionnaire which takes about 30 minutes and were assured that we would be able to get our taxes done that day. When we were ready we learned that the accountant was new and did not know how to do our taxes because we use our home as an office for both my and my wife's job. We were offered to leave our tax information at Liberty and that within 24 to 48 hours the everything would be complete, the office would call us and all we would need to do is come and sign. That was a week ago. No word. I JUST called Liberty to learn that their staff "were just talking about us" and how they needed to get our tax information into their system as they've been swamped. We've been told now that they should be complete by the end of today or tomorrow and that we can come sign for them on Friday. Not a very happy costumer at the moment.
